This is important because?

Because there was a large thread a while back about "Celebrity Gamers" in which it was rumored that Robin Williams plays tabletop wargames and RPGs.

And try to be a little more polite in the future, Scatterspell. Being new isn't an excuse to be rude, especially to other new members. Thanks. :)

He's been spotted by a number of people I know in the game and comic shops in San Francisco. Never myself though...

I wonder what he was doing up in Seattle?

I know that he doesn't seem to be very public shy (at least for your average well-know celebrity). He was seen at the movie theaters and such around here when he was in town shooting "Dead Poet's Society." I'm reasonably sure he wasn't at the local game stores, though. Being friends with both of the owners, I'm sure they would have mentioned it at some point.

I asked what he was buying at the link in the first post; the reply was:

He bought some Warhammer 40K, although he also plays Magi-Nation Duel.

Check out the link, though, because there was a bit of an interesting discussion about Williams and how he came to visit the shop.

OK, so we know he is among the elite 1% who have enough imagination to play. The real question is wether he reads and posts to these august boards. OH, Bugaboo!?!
