Does spell casting prodigy add +2 to abilty score, like if i had a wisdom of 16 does it make it 18, or does it make you mod go up 2. Like if your mod on wisdom was +3 does it make it +5. thanks for any help.

Neither. You treat appropriate ability score as two points higher for purposes of bonus spells and spellcasting DC.

You may want to purchase the book ;)

Neither.

If you have a 16 Wisdom and are (say) a Cleric, with "Spellcasting Prodigy: Cleric" as one of your feats, then solely for the purpose of casting Cleric spells, you are counted as having an 18 Wisdom. This means your DCs are 14+level, instead of 13+ level. It also means you get slightly better bonus spells-per-day.

It does you absolutely no other good.

Also, note that Spellcasting Prodigy is obviously *way* overpowered compared to the new 3.5 Spell Focus.
I'd say that's something of an overstatement. 3.5 Spell Focus (as far as I know) grants a +1 to save DCs from a single school. Spellcasting Prodigy grants a +1 bonus to DCs for all schools, and helps a tad with bonus spells. Certainly, Spellcasting Prodigy is stronger at 1st-level, but hardly "way overpowered." :D

And really, I'm guessing that most mages with access would opt to take both. Especially considering the new Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus.
