Hey, ISRPer's! Ever wondered how the heck to pronounce someone's (or even your own!) characters' name?

Here's a new thread, constructyed by Jeajea and myself, to give all of you a little fun in seeing how you pronounce your character's name, and others'!

Here's how it goes: You list your character's name, and how to pronounce, then up to two other character's names, and how you pronounce them.

I'll start it off.

My character: Acaed

Pronounced: 'Uh-kay-id'

-------------------------

Chara Name: Bhryn Astairre

I Pronounce it: 'Burn'.

-------------------------

Chara Name: JeaJea

I Pronounce it: 'Jaya-Jaya'.

See? It's easy! Now you try! :)

Tut tut! ;) Here's how I say it. Like the letter J said twice, so...

Jay-Jay

I say Bhryn's name:

Brin

And Acaed I've always said (until now...):

Ak-ah-ed

Let me see. Are there any more I can think of? I might come back to't when people post. Enjoy yourselves.

Oooh, oooh, I got another:

CN: Bailey

MP: Bailey.

CN: Reesa

MP: Reesa.

Isn't it wierd?

Here's some of mine:

Name: Nugan
Pronounced: New-gan (not gen or gun)

Name: Straak
Pronounced: Str-ah-ack

Name: Dalineous Faustin
Pronounced: Dah-lin-E-us Faw-stin

Most of my other charecters (A chipmunk, Hector, etc.) have names with pretty obvious pronouciations, but I'll add any other tricky ones as I think of them.

I have to run now, but I'll add the way that I pronounce some other player's characters later.

Guys, don't forget to include which sylable is stressed.

Here's mine:

Bianca Ssussunriyh: bee-AHN-kah suh-SOON-ree (with extended sibilants and a trilled "R" if you want to imitate a drow accent.)

Tarani: tah-RON-ee

Delana: deh-LON-ah (at least, that's how I say it, although dah-LAY-nah is probably the "proper" pronounciation.)

Eliria

eh-LIR-y-ah

Felicity

FLICK ( ;) )
(Okay, maybe not, but you should know how to pronounce that!)

And, just for kicks:

Arialyra

AIR-ri-ah-LIE-rah

Tada!
Ria.

This should be fun...

Pounamu. As part of a "common" sentance, POE (as in Edgar-alan-poe. heh) nah- moo.
In a sentance on maori where it's not the main topic: poe-NAH-moo.
