Pirate Family On ABC's Wife Swap

Did anyone else catch the second hour of the season premiere of ABC's Wife Swap? I watched because I was out voted two to one (both my mother and sister are really into the series). I liked watching Tori "Mad Sally" Baur (read her article about the show at Keep to the Code) and Cap'n Slappy.

Here's the show's summery:

"Monday, September 18, 9/8c - "Baur/Fine" - When a swashbuckling pirate mom swaps lives with a professional organizer, the cannons are loaded and the course is set for high adventure!"

I came close, but luckily my wife fell asleep and was able to change over to football.

It looked pretty cheesy to me. People who buy dress-up clothes and talk like pirates.

Did I understand correctly that the dad started talk like a pirate day?

I've seen some stupid ideas on TV but that took the cake.

The concept, and idea that people could really be living today with eyepatches, cutlasses, parrots, and pirate-speak is so goofy I couldn't bring myself to watch it even with my love of pirates.

I couldn't have been as bad as the family that played DnD ... The new mom was willing to try it, but they kind of through her in the middle of a game without any background as to what they were doing or what anything meant ... or the idea of roleplay.

not that I'm forced to watch it at all ... I occasionaly watch it for the entertainment value
