Permanent Robe of Useful Items?

Hey, everyone. As you all know, the Robe of Useful Items is (excuse the pun) quite a useful item, even underpriced according to some. The problem with it, of course, is that once you use up the items within it, it's gone, and it can't be worn with another robe or suit of armor. So, I had an idea.... how much would a permanent Robe of Useful Items cost?

Not necessarily one that has a readily-available, unlimited supply of potions and whatnot, but one that doesn't need to be replenished every adventure or so. Like, for example, a Robe of Unlimited Items (nice name, huh? Huh? Huh? Nevermind.) that can be used x times per day, and every time it's used, you roll on the little chart to see what item comes out of it. Or something.

Anyway, taking out some possibly overpowered items (such as the potions, or scrolls, or salable items, possibly even the window or pit), how much would such an item cost? Any suggestions?

Well, the Robe of Useful Items could be considered a charged item, with at most 32 charges.

If at 50 "charges" it would be worth 10,937 gp, it means that unlimited uses would be worth 21,875 gp (50 charges = 1/2 unlimited uses cost). For uses per day, use the standard rule (x uses per day / 5).

Here's where I'd start:

Shrink Item
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One touched object of up to 2 cu. ft./level
Duration: One day/level; see text
Saving Throw: Will negates (object)
Spell Resistance: Yes (object)
You are able to shrink one nonmagical item (if it is within the size limit) to 1/16 of its normal size in each dimension (to about 1/4,000 the original volume and mass). This change effectively reduces the object’s size by four categories. Optionally, you can also change its now shrunken composition to a clothlike one. Objects changed by a shrink item spell can be returned to normal composition and size merely by tossing them onto any solid surface or by a word of command from the original caster. Even a burning fire and its fuel can be shrunk by this spell. Restoring the shrunken object to its normal size and composition ends the spell.
Shrink item can be made permanent with a permanency spell, in which case the affected object can be shrunk and expanded an indefinite number of times, but only by the original caster.

If you have a wizard in the party, he can basically set up a slotless robe of usefull items in between adventures, essentially for free. If you want it to be reusable, you'll have to spend gold and/or xp for permanency spells, but I'd recomend cheaping out and skipping that step anyway. After all, how many ladders can you buy for the cost of a permanency spell? Why not by 10 ladders, shrink them, and simply abandon them if you use them somewhere they'd be diffcult to extract them from.

I know this response isn't 100% on point, but hopefully it's close enough to be usefull. At least, if you're a cheap bastard like me...
