D&D (2024) Pact of the Blade + Shadow Blade?

Due to the new wording of the Pat of the Blade invocation, would it be possible to make a shadow blade a pact blade?

In the 2014 rules, you could not, as bonding a weapon took an hour and a shadow blade only lasts one minute. But if I'm reading the new invocation correctly, it now only takes a bonus action to bond a weapon, so theoretically you could do bond it on the second turn if you wanted to and then use the blade with charisma... and Thirsting blade. And Devouring blade.

Am I crazy? Is this busted?

Meh .... requires two bonus actions, multiple Invocations a pact slot and hanging on to concentration to work ... so no it is not busted.

It's definitely strong, especially if your combats tend to last several turns, or if your DM telegraphs incoming combat enough to reliable get Shadow Blade cast before combat.

I wouldn't call it busted though, at best it's similar to Conjure Minor Elementals without the insane scaling

Yeah. It requires rather specific conditions to be great. In those conditions, sure. But I don't think they're common enough to worry about.
