On Elven Courtblade in Races of the Wild

In RotW the Elven Courtblade is a two handed weapon, but light er than the usual greatsword; shouldn't it then be considered as a bastard sword rather or and as a greatsword for the purpose of the weapon feats. I know it is very long, but has the same weight as a bastard sword, so...

One more thing, could the elven thinblade be forged or treated in such a way that it could be a slashing weapon instead of a piercing one?

No, leave the courtblade with the greatsword

And if you make the elven thin blade slahing it no longer becomes a thin blade, it becomes something else. I'd leave it be as well.
