Nimble 5e

This looks intriguing. Has anyone played the first version of this?

I'm confounded by being intrigued, as I'm also intrigued by actually playing 13th age, which is clearly on the other end of complexity!

I have the original Nimble, which was a supplement for 5e. It was really good, fans asked for a full game version and that's what is being kick started now. Nimble does a good job of taking the work off of the GM, making martial more intreresting and magic more dynamic. I am into the new KS for the soft covers although I wish I had the money for the hard covers.

here is an interview with the creator

Thanks. I'm in for the soft covers, since they barely cost more than just the PDFs.

My first though when I read the description was that someone listened to all the stuff Matt Coville was talking about in the lead up to the MCDM RPG, and decided to rush to beat it.
It looks a lot more streamlined than that (though I haven't seen Draw Steel for months and months, so who knows). I mean, Nimble v1 has been around awhile, so I don't think you are right at all, but whatever.

I'm really surprised this isn't getting more discussion here....
I looked at it. There doesn't seem to be too much to talk about. I don't think that the changes are that interesting. The changes are a bit too conservative for my tastes. For example, the designer dumps Constitution, as they think that it's redundant with Strength, but then also decides to keep all three of the mental stats as if there were no redundancies there?

IMHO, there are probably ways that the designer could have made a more "nimble" game than what they are presenting. I would probably be more interested in that other game.
