News for Stargate SG1: Continuum!

Following up on last month's highly-praised direct-to-DVD release of Stargate - The Ark of Truth, fans are champing at the bit for the release of the next feature-length production, Stargate - Continuum. Official word from MGM Studios and distributor Fox Home Entertainment hasn't come through yet, but the scoop we've gotten from our own contacts in the industry is this: the new DVD feature will be in stores on July 29th!

We haven't had a look at the packaging yet, nor any word so far as to cost, specs or any bonus material that might be included. But stay tuned and we'll fill you in on these topics, just as soon as we can!

I'm really looking forward to this. With Atlantis on the decline and Infinity in limbo, DVD is the only place to get my Stargate fix.

Ark of Truth wasn't half bad, despite it being about the Ori.

I watch the shows in syndication, so I'm a season behind. The reruns have been advertising the crap out of the Ark of Truth. I do want to see it, but I'm going to wait at least a month of so, by that time season 10's reruns should be wrapped up. And even better watching it right after the season ends should provide better closure.

I like Atlantis, but it does tread a lot of familar sci-fi ground, so sometimes I don't like to watch an episode more than once. One of my favorite episodes of the third season so far was the one about the lab that Rodney and Sheppard mistakenly though was a massive simulation game. That one was right up my alley.
