Chuck I got bored with in season one. Castle though is one of the most entertaining hours on TV. How I met your Mother was funny and still works which suprises me. House I think may have finally stopped working for me. Of the new shows I'm recording the Event, Chase, and Hawaii 5.0 to see if they are any good.

HIMYM was amusing but they've had the first two seasons on syndication here and there's still no comparison. Still, I thought the episode was better than most of the fifth season.

I stopped watching Chuck in the first season as well. I caught a couple of second season episodes as House stopped holding my interest and I was waiting for Heroes. The second and third seasons, IMO, are a lot better than the first, and I'd recommend at least Netflix-ing the first disc of the second season to see if it recaptures your interested like it did mine.

Castle is awesome; I wish it'd get higher ratings.

None of the new shows Monday nights piqued my interest, so I didn't watch any of them. The Event has been so hyped that I can't help but be wary. I'm not terribly interested in another procedural (especially since Castle is so good), so H50 and Chase got passes from me.

I watched The Event. I'm not sure what to make of it. It feels like it might be a sci-fi show, but it's too early to know.

I watched most of the Event. I say most because once they started flashing back in time I started flipping back and forth between the Event and Top Gear.

Doubt I'll watch the Event, except maybe episode two if they explain the "event" involving the president and airplane. Of course I'd have to watch it to find out if they do...

Watching Hawaii 5-0 because the old series bring backs memories of watching it at grandma and grandpa's after dinner. I like Castle, but don't need to find out why they are making him a bad guy, even if it only turns out to be for one episode, which might be why I'll watch the last 5 minutes since I'm betting the last 5 minutes of 5-0 will be mournful drama crap. The opening was great.

I saw a commercial for a show on Thursday which I want to watch, but I can't remember if it was My Dad Says or something else.

I think the issue with HIMYM is that the search for the mother is probably the weakest part of the show. Sometimes its barely mentioned and sometimes the show concentrates too much on the 'escapades of Barney' and loses itself. The problem with concentrating on Barney is that the character was always intended to be a support character and not the main character of the show. He works best when he is playing off Robin (there is some intense chemistry there, something you just dont see between Smulders and Radnor). Lily has unfortunetly been pigeonholed into a 'killjoy' and Segel works better when he is playing off complete strangers for some reason.

I think in terms of the eventual plot, people have long decided where they want the characters to end up and have locked those decisions in.
