D&D 5E New Spell: Create Mini-Clones

So I'm creating a spell specifically for a character of mine. He's a Warforged Warlock (Well technically a Winged Tiefling reskinned as a Warforged), infernal patron, Blade Pact. He's kind of a hellforged warmachine. His eldritch blast is flavored as twin shoulder cannons, his Pact Weapon is a sword that extends from his wrist like Wolverine... so magic meets tech type of character. And I was thinking of adapting a spell from UA (Conjure Lesser Demon) to create a type of power similar to Soundwave from Transformers with smaller version popping out of him. I was wondering how balanced it appears and whether it might need some tweaks. Any feedback would be appreciated. Btw, my character's name is Soulwrench and used specifically in the spell description.

Create Lesser Soulwrench
3rd level conjuration
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 5 feet
Components: V, S, M (Soulwrench's Essence)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour

You create and release up to a total of four miniature Soulwrench clones from your body that appear in unoccupied spaces you can see within range. This process reduces Soulwrench's maximum hit point total by the number of clones summoned. A clone disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends. After the clones disappear or the spell ends, Soulwrench may heal his hit points back normally.

These clones accept verbal commands from Soulwrench. Roll initiative for the conjured clones as a group, which has its own turns. The clones follow Soulwrench's commands to the best of their ability.

The clones have the same statistics as Soulwrench with the following exceptions: They are size small, with AC 10 and 1 hit point each. When they take the attack action they can make one sword attack for 7 slashing damage (Soulwrench's minimum attack damage with his sword), or make a ranged eldritch blast attack for 4 fire damage (Soulwrench's minimum attack damage with his eldritch blast).

Doesn't seem overpowered, but I haven't compared it to anything. Only comment is that similar spells require a bonus action to give a command. Your's seems to be able to command them as a free action. You also might want to clarify if you can give each one a different command or if you have to give them all the same command.

Good point. It will be a bonus action to command them. I'll borrow the wording from Animate Dead, which is also a 3rd level spell.

Oh, you didn't list the attack bonuses.

This was a conscious choice to reduce confusion or tracking of the clones. Each of these clones is mechanically the same as the caster. So same ability stats, skill proficiencies, saving throws, ect. The only change's these clones have is that they are small size, each have 1 HP, AC 10, cannot cast spells, and when they make an Attack Action can only make a single sword attack or one eldritch blast ray. When doing so, they use the caster's attack bonus, and deal the caster's minimum damage when making these kinds of attacks.

So even if the caster can shoot multiple Eldritch Blast rays or make multiple attacks with his sword, the clones are limited to one of either.
