Need a Latin Translation!

Okay, I know how many people on these boards know Latin quite well, so I just would like ask for a translation.

How would you translate the phrase "Soul Death", or "Death of the Soul"?

I think you just put "soul of deaths." Or was it some sort of verb form?

I dunno. I'd just do "Espiritus Mortus," which would be something pidgin like 'spirit death.'

Loosely, it's 'Soul's Death has been caused'...

Mors Animi is "Death of the Soul", but an exact translation depends on the context the phrase is taken from, ie whether it's functioning in a subjective or objective sense etc.

Animam Mortiferum is closer to "fatal soul" or "destructive soul".

Oh, an idiom that might work for you is Animam Edere, which is "to give up the ghost" as it were.

Mors animi - you could construct some weird compounds too, but this is probably the way to go. Mors spiritus or mors animae could also work depending on what kind of soul is meant.

As far as qualifications go, I'm currently studying Latin at university, working through Caesar's Gallic Wars. Just finished up the section with Ariovistus and the Germans before spring break, so everything is pretty fresh in mind. Reading the damn thing has me chomping at the bit to play Rome: Total War, if nothing else.

Anyway, if you just want the phrase for flavor in a game, it really doesn't matter; as RangerWickett said, just go with what you think sounds gnarly. There are a lot of ways to translate a phrase back and forth, context just shows the better choice.
