Name this Bow!

Taren Seeker

First Post
I just recently crafted this bow and I'm having a lot of trouble naming it, and my friends aren't being very helpful about it.

My PC is a moon elf archer/transmuter from Evermeet. He's a warrior scholar who came to the mainland to study the other races and to learn more about the abandoned elven places and arcane lore.

Here is a description of the bow:

This beautiful, recurved longbow of pale Dragonbone is made from the wing of an adult White Dragon defeated in fierce combat by D’son and another native of Evermeet, the Fire Mage Zenrith. The bow is the color of pale ivory and is reinforced by lines of Mithril. Also decorative, these silvery strands flow throughout the length of the bow depicting ornate symbols of the lady of mysteries, Sehanine Moonbow, as well as the rest of the Seldarine.

The construction of the bow along with the magical hardening placed upon it allow for a wielder to use his strength to great effect (18 strength). It is also enchanted to +1 and has the Holy and Frost enhancements, channeling the power of the beast from which it was formed and the fury of it’s creator.

My eyes are tired; It must be time to go to bed, I only clicked on this cuz I thought it read "Name this Bowl", ( L , not ! ) and I had to see what that was about...

Since I'm here:

Names of objects are earned. Some for association, but better named by deed or accomplishment. Why not have your PC use the bow for a while, and see if a name situationally presents itself...

It would be silly to name your bow "Demon Bane" if an arrow shot from it actually never hit one, now wouldn't it?

Alternatively, you could name the bow based on the slaying of the dragon, unless this was a random encounter thing. But if you did something heroic or epic by slaying the dragon, like saved the local virgins from being sacrificed on an annual basis, then that presents some possibilities!

Well, the obvious choices are just to name it the Bow of D'Son, or relate the name in some way to the Dragon the components came from.

Other options, to use the blatently obvious, are things like Silverfrost, Dragonsoul and other combinations of power and origin. If you don't like the sound, just make up an elvish word that sounds cool and use that as a translation.

how about :
Athel Hakarmaskannar

(From Dragon Mag #279, means "Dragon Bow")

Ivae Enmorien

(also extrapolated from Dragon #279. "Death of the White one")
