D&D General Murdering Bhaal/Dead 3 Post BG3.

So reading through the FR wiki it says that the dead 3 post second underling are quasi powers reduced to hanging out on the prime.

End credits of BG3 Withers calls the dead 3 fools.

General gist seems to be they're a lot weaker than what they were compounded by tadpoling their followers. They lost their soul stuff which relates to divine power.

In my game a large chunk of the remaining faithful of the dead 3 are heretics and have formed the Ebon Triad. Basically they want to merge the dead 3 into 1 deity similar to Jergal in the days of Netheril.

Anyway what do you think if them being reduced to quasi power essentially immortals unable to grant spells. I may make exceptions for followers in their immediate vicinity. Ebon Triad sems to get their spells regardless.

With the second sundering Iyachtu Xvim seems to be kind of back as well.

So Bhaal and Myrkul seem to be the ones who have lost the most. They have only had a decade or so to re establish their faith. Bane returned in 1371 and has had more time to rebuild his faith. So would killing Bhaal be comparatively easy?

They can still grants spells and powers, they voluntarily gave up their proper godhood so they could mess with the material plane more directly. Xvim is still gone, he didn't have enough of a following.

Also the tadpole thing was never going to directly increase their power. Bane outright says the plan doesn't matter to him. It's primary purpose was to wipe out the worshipers of other gods on the Sword Coast. If it succeeded good his rivals are weakened, if it failed whatever, it cost him nothing he cares about.
