Multiple Harpies -- Multiple Saves?

Say there are two harpies singing. Do the PCs need to make two seperate saves? 4 harpies -- 4 saves? Or should/could it be one save with +2 to the DC for each harpy after the first? Or just one save at the normal DC?

I just had a party of five 5th-level PCs encounter two harpies (EL 6). I didn't make them roll two saves (forgot about it in this instance), but even the one save snared all but the ranger/rogue. A *very* near TPK in an encounter that should merely have been tough.

Multiple harpies could be really dangerous forcing multiple DC 16 will saves.

If the save is successful, that creature cannot be affected again by that harpy’s song for one day

IMO, you could follow the rule that no 2 similar effect may apply to a single situation, ie that it doesn't matter if 2 harpies sing, only one may be able to captivate at a time.

If the first harpy sings, and, say, only captivates 1 victim, then it could stop and let the other harpy try and captivate more victims.

What would happen if a character was captivated by 2 or more harpies at the same time?

I would have each PC make a save for each Harpy song. If they fail the first one then I would forgo the second.

They would only be affected by one song at any given time.
If 4 Wizard PC's cast Charm Person on one NPC would you give him only one save? Nope.
