Monk/Druid Bracers o' Armor

So here's another question about that same 2/2 Monk/Druid (see my other recent thread)

Druids are not allowed to wear metal armor. This monk/druid has metal bracers of armor +2. Any concerns?

I'm inclined to say that he can use the bracers because it's a wondrous item that happens to grant an armor bonus...but I'm just curious if anyone else has thought about this. Thanks

Bracers of Armor are not actual armor. And they can come in many forms, anyway ... bracers can be leather, or even wood.

Consider: bracers of armor are, generally speaking, designed iwth sorcerors and wizards in mind -- people who don't even know how to wear any armor.

I don't think the material used to craft magic bracers is very relevant, just as the material used to craft wands or staves for example (except that it may change things like hardness and hp of the object). The effect of this wondrous item doesn't come from the material used anyway, so you could just craft them with bark, wood, leather, even bones or leaves or whatever you feel like IMHO.
