Maximized cure potions?

If you had cure potions that always healed max HP for it's type as if they were maximized (9 hp for cure light, 19 hp for cure moderate, and 29 hp for cure serious), how much would a potion like those cost?

Also, what about a potion that gives a fast healing 1 property for say 5 minutes? So it would heal a total of 50 hps in 5 minutes. How much would that cost?

A Potion may be a single spell of up to 3rd level.

Maximize spell increases the spell level by 3. So, it would not be possible to maximize any spell higher than 0 level and make a potion of it.

However, if you DID maximize a zero level spell and make a potion of it the cost would be:

Spell Level (3) * Caster Level (5) * 50 = 750 gp.

Note the spell level becomes 3 when you add maximize to a 0 level spell and the minimum caster level for that 3rd level spll is 5.

Don't have the item creation rules in front of me, but I'd imagine they'd be at a premium (the maxxed potions). Since a metamagic feat is involved the spell level is increased, plus said feat implies a bit more specialisation and training than the average potion merchant might have.

Or like Brent said above.

There's a first-level spell, Lesser Vigor, which grants Fast Healing 1 for 1 minute or so.

Accordingly, you could buy 5 such potions for 250gp, to get Fast Healing 1 for 5 minutes (50 rounds).

Well these aren't actually going to be potions. I just said that to make it easier...which I guess I just made it harder.

I'm wanting to use a "pill" type of item that when swallowed, it heals you for the maximized amounts. If it was possible to go higher than a lvl 3 spell (maybe like a scroll?) what would these items cost?

So is it safe to say that a single "pill" of fast healing 1 for 5 minutes would cost 1250gp?

Just use the same formula as a guideline. If it seems too cheap, adjust it upwards. Or downwards. Whatever you wish. :) Personally, I would just use the formula, but call it a one-use wondrous item.

If it looks like a potion, smells like a potion, and works like a potion, just price it the same as a potion. :)

In this case, a maximized Cure Light Wounds spell is a 4th-level spell, which requires a 7th-level caster.

Accordingly, it'll cost you 4 * 7 * 50gp, or 1,400gp, and give you 13 points of guaranteed healing.

Frankly, items of maximized healing are generally not worth the cost. Instead, go with a normal potion of Cure Moderate Wounds: 2 * 3 * 50 = 300gp, for 2d8 + 3 (average 12) points of healing, and buy three or four of them. :D

A scroll of maximized Cure Light Wounds would cost: 4 * 7 * 25gp, or 700gp.

Er, no. 5 pills, each lasting 1 minute, would cost 50gp each, and together would cost 250gp. You could take them one after the other in order to get 5 minutes of continuous healing.

Another option is to maximize the caster level instead of maximizing the spell.

Max caster Cure Light Wounds = 1 * 5 * 50gp, or 250gp, and give you 6-13 points of healing.
Max caster Cure Moderate Wounds = 2 * 10 * 50gp, or 1000gp, and give you 12-26 points of healing.
Max caster Cure Serious Wounds = 3 * 15 * 50gp, or 2250gp, and give you 18-39 points of healing.
Max caster Cure Critical Wounds = 4 * 20 * 50gp, or 4000gp, and give you 24-52 points of healing.

That's another excellent option. :D
