Masterwork healers kit?

One of my players says there's no such thing as a masterwork healer's kit (meaning, I assume, that things like bandages and such will run out). I figure a kit has to include more than just gauze and the like and could be produced in masterwork quality.

Is there anything in the rules about this, either way?

Off the top of my head, I don't think there are any rules for or against. It's interesting to note that while Masterwork tools (alchemist, thieves) generally give a +2 circumstance bonus, and the regular tools just let you use your skill without penalty, the regular Healer's kit gives you a +2 circumstance bonus, and without a kit the skill is rolled normally. So in that respect, the Healer's Kit is already a masterwork item (since MW on gear is generally just a +2 cir bonus). If all you can get out of MW is a +2, you've already got that.

phindar got it. The PHB has listed masterwork kits for a few skills, Heal being one of them. That's what the healer's kit is.
