Magical wood

For part of a new world I'm designing, I want to associate different types of wood with different magics, staves are going to be a vital item for most spell casters.

Anywhoo I was wondering if you could help me come up with a list of different woods and what would be a good school of magic for it based on mythology and/or perceptions of the wood, i.e. the mighty oak is associated with abjuration.

Diviniation-visable wood
illusion-wood that isn't really there
Transmutaion-A metal rod
Enchantment-wood that never leaves your side...
Abjuration-A big sheet of wood...
