Looking for d20 modern/future modules

First Post
Hey folks! I want to get some of my fellow DnD players to try some d20 modern/future action, but I'd prefer to run one shots (at most loosely connected ones). I'd prefer no magic/psionics/fx, but I'm open to anything from the 20th century and on. The players could be a salvage crew (a la Event Horizon) or colonial marines (Aliens) or just a bunch of people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time (Jurassic Park).

Anyone know sources for one-shot length modules for d20 modern or future? The ones I read from the wizards website were... not good.

There is a series of adventures based on a campaign setting called Treasure Hunter by Emerald Press. While magic is a possibility, it is not the main focus of the modules.

The modules are set in modern day Greece and revolve around restoring lost treasures, etc. There are three out at the moment, and are loosely related, or can be played on their own.

There's a trio of adventures from Sword Edge Publishing called the Albenistan series.

At the d20 Modern site, there's a bunch of free ones. Some, like Adelie 14, will suit your needs.

I don't think I've really seen any 1st-level non-FX adventures. There are some low-FX 1st-level adventures, however.

What didn't you like about them? That might help us give you better recommendations.

Do you like ghosts? Try anything from 12 to midnight. They use d20 modern rules for anything from horror-related ghost hunts to horror-military. For one-shots I liked Last Rights.

Anyone ever read the adventure "Too Far Gone"? Absolutely packed with ludicrous magic and weird alien crossbreeds. Then there was the adventure with the spellcasting computer. It's like you're not even playing on Earth. D20 Modern shouldn't be DnD with guns.

I second the not to 12 to Midnight.

I also recommend you check out the Modern Dispatch at ENWorld's RPGNow store. There's a ton of short military, superhero, occult and science fiction adventures in those issues.

I highly recommend The Game Mechanics' four d20 Modern adventures. They are Come for the Reaping, Slave Drivers, Flight 23, and The Brindisi Protocol. The last three are part of their Bronze Head story arc, which is really neat. All four adventures are sort of survival horror-meets-conspiracy theory type stuff. They are pretty low-FX (though they do involve some demons) and could easily be converted to d20 Future as well.
