Looking for a gaming store in NYC

Hi guys

One of my players is heading over the big pond to NYC (and AC) in a few days, and he asked if I knew of any great gaming stores there. Well, since NYC is like 4000 miles away, I have no clue, I thought I would ask you guys.

Essentially, he is looking for a store which has lots of 4e stuff, preferably not only WotC's products, since we can get them easily over here.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Vicente's got it right. As a NYC resident, the Compleat Strategist can't be beat. It's on 33rd between Madison and 5th Avenues. The size is a little cramped but much like the Tardis, they have more crammed inside than you could ever imagine from the outside--with an inventory that spans a broad definition of gaming from RPGs to classic, new, and obscure boardgames.

Agreed--Complete Strategist is a must-visit. A dingy, overstuffed mess, but with an incredible selection--a browser's paradise.

Might also visit Neutral Ground, which is about five blocks north of TCS. Not nearly the selection, but if you're looking to play they have a huge OP space and something going on nearly all the time.

It's not really a game store, but if you're even vaguely interested in comics there's an absolutely incredible comic shop on 33rd, just across the street from the back side of the Empire State Building.

There can be only one!

The Compleat Strategist is the way! THE WAY! Do not question the way.:D

A long time customer, former employee and fast friend of the owner I highly recommend this FLGS as the end all be all gaming spot in the Big Apple.

www.compleatstrategist.com

Might see your friend there!

Oxford Comics in Atlanta is really huge too, with a looot of material :) (I found really old things there).

And there is one very big near San Francisco too, but I couldn't visit it (and I don't remember the name :( ).

Regards!
