Ugh ... I kinda like this? I'm so tired of live action remakes ... but this one might not be bad? Confusing feelings, will have to ponder it.

As with all live-action remakes of movies from the 70s or later...the question is...why?

What purpose do they do this for? The other animated one came out not so long ago, so why make a remake?

I am so going to go see this.

I think perhaps Disney's earlier animated movies are considered classics, whereas this one, is just considered a good movie. Which could have been a CGI/live action mashup from the start. Also, given that the CGI characters are aliens, rather than real world animals, it should be able to avoid the uncanny valley.
