Our latest Quick-Starter project Sea Monsters: Pirates, Plunder, & Peril is now LIVE and ready for you, with awesome books, cards, PDFs, and VTT modules for DnD 5E, Pathfinder RPG, and Pathfinder Second Edition!

Within these pages, you'll find over 60 maritime monstrosities and nautical nemeses for your heroes, from low-level minions of the deep like mutant sahuagin and monstrous mythic merrow, to vast living islands and half-alive coral golems, plus savage predators like the devilfish and slaughtermaw lamprey, and legendary foes like the scylla, charybdis, and even the Midgard Serpent, all available for Pathfinder RPG, Pathfinder Second Edition and DnD 5E!

This project is subtitled Pirates, Plunder, & Peril, because if you've got sea monsters you're going to want nautical adventure, and we have two titanic tomes of all things nautical with the Pirate Campaign Compendium for 5E (448 pages) and Pathfinder RPG (a whopping 500 pages)! Alas, no version yet for PF2. However, if you've got pirates, you're going to want loot, plunder, and swag, and this project has terrific treasure troves behind it with the Ultimate Treasury and Legendary Loot Cards for 5E and the Massive Magic Bundles for PF1 and PF2! Plus, tons of VTT support on Roll20, Foundry, Fantasy Grounds, and Shard!

This is another Quick-Starter project, with PDFs ready to go and books ready to print, running just 17 days and ready to start fulfilling immediately when the Kickstarter ends (or when Backerkit surveys are finalized, for certain items). Check out special early bird deals with the Set Sail at Dawn and X Marks the Spot pledges! Whatever your favorite system, we hope you'll check out Sea Monsters: Pirates, Plunder, & Peril launching next week and running through GenCon!

I also have questions about the Pirate Campaign Compendium.

As far as I can tell, the original PCC was published in 2018. When the initial print run was exhausted, a POD option was added to DriveThruRPG. Later a revised edition replaced the original file. Is this Kickstarter edition the revised version? Or has it been revised further, and if so, have the backgrounds been revised to conform with 5.5e (ASIs, a feat, a language, etc.)?

To echo Whizbang: What's different about these editions? Or are they simply fresh print runs?

What is new with this campaign? These are all existing books, no?
The following are brand-new books from this project:

Sea Monsters (Pathfinder RPG)
Sea Monsters (Pathfinder 2E)
Sea Monsters (Black Flag Roleplaying) - new update coming shortly once I get the cover image from layout
New VTT modules for Sea Monsters for multiple systems and multiple VTT platforms
New VTT module for Pirate Campaign Compendium

Previously Sea Monsters was only available for 5E.

The other books were previously available.

The Pirate Campaign Compendium (5E) offered as an add-on or inclusion here is the Revised Edition from 2022 and is the third print run we've done for this book (the second print run of the revised version). It is still set up for "classic" 5E because there is as yet no license available to publish items with explicit compatibility with 5.5, not least because of the slow rollout WotC is doing where they won't even finish publishing the third of the three core books until early 2025 and has said they'll be waiting until basically next spring to release whatever their new license will be for 5.5.
