Is there a table-top role playing game that involves only dice?

I would like to know if there is a table-top role playing game that involves nothing more than dice and maybe some pencil and paper... Nobody where I live is into D&D but several of my friends collect Role Play Dice. I also have Role Playing Dice and would like to start a gaming session. Could someone give me the rules to a role play game that consists of only dice, pencil and paper?

I'm not completely sure what your asking... You seem to have both questions on RPG games BUT are also looking for someone to play with.

For the first question, I would say that most Table Top RPGs are meant to be played with only paper, pencil, and paper but not all are. And for the later group (like 4th edition D&D) its pretty debatable how much more you turly need as you really don't need to buy a how much of mincitures to play the game's combat... (but WotC will certainly love you if you do.)

Anyhow, in either case this is the wrong subforum (don't worry, I'll move the thread to the right forum) and maybe find you some people to help you answer more of your questions.

Most are that way. Some of the more well known ones
GURPS, Savage Worlds, World of Darkness, Shadowrun, Hero, Rifts,

Some lesser well known ones
Victoriana, Sla Industries, Witchhunter, All for One, Desolation, Hollow Earth Expidition,

For someone just starting out I would recommend downloading GURPS lite and Caravan to Ein Arris. Both are free off e23

I've played D&D for 14 years and have always only used paper & pencil. We have never used miniatures.

Both I recommend if you're looking for something quick to start with and doesn't require anything in the way of props, cards, etc.

Are you asking about solo play (i.e. playing by yourself)?

If so, you may want to check out the Mythic Game Master Emulator. It contains rules that allow you to play any RPG without a GM/DM - either by yourself or with other players.
