Pathfinder 1E Instrument Weapons

Drake Cross

First Post
I have one question that I recently have been debating with my GM and group in the Kingmaker campaign I'm in. I was wondering if there is a possible weapon or special rule for weapons that server as a instrument as well. The instrument I use is a flute so the first idea of what type of weapon would be a dagger or shorsword, sort of like the Dragon Flute that Green Ranger used in the Power Rangers.

My GM is debating about if its possible to have or not, since I plan to have it specially crafted for me. It be even cooler if I could have an enchanted one, but again I don't know if such an item is possible. Please post advice and also check out my other forum post about the game's marriage problem. How about a telescoping flute that doubles as a blowgun?

How about a lyre that doubles a bow?

How about a drum that you beat with a mace?

Or throwing/returning edged Cymbals?

a didgeridoo can function just fine as a staff. bows can be used as stringed instruments. swords could have a whistle or flute built in the hilt. And then there's several variants on the sword-stick (a sword in a cane). I'm sure there are more possibilities.

If you are looking for weapons that double as musical instruments then I suggest taking a look at the 3.5 Complete Adventurer (assuming you allow backwards compatibility of course).

There are a couple items in there, under Specific Weapons of the Magic Weapons section in Chapter 4 (equipment).

I can't provide details as I'm fairly sure they are NOT OGL, but if you can get ahold of that book you can check it out for yourself. Approx. page 129 and on.

That's the best I can do, hope it helps.
