Improved Buckler Defense and Two-handed weapon

A player asked me if he could take the Improved Buckler Defense feat (from Complete Warrior) in order to fight with a two-handed weapon and retain the AC bonus from his buckler. The feat states that it allows you to attack with a weapon in your off-hand while retaining the AC bonus from your buckler. I read that as allowing two weapon fighting while benefiting from a buckler, but not two-handed weapon fighting. What do you all think? Am Is the feat meant to be used with two-handed weapons as well, or only with two-weapon fighting?

I'd probably allow it. But that will have the effect of making two handed weapon fighting stronger compared to two weapon fighting, Nobody in my group has really been effective with the two weapon fighting - mostly because the rogue keeps trying to do it, and getting err 'distracted' (Ohh I'll take that feet). The two handed weapon wielders could use a little AC boost. The problem will be they'll max that buckler out. Even then its only +6.
Like I said I'd allow it.

Uhm. Hmm. They changed the rule that bucklers only apply vs 1 foe, like dodge. Missed that. Okay. Nonetheless, I'd still prefer a +1, animated heavy shield over a +3 buckler and that feat because, even if I'm making a human fighter, I tend to find myself short on feat slots. Also, the -1 penalty to attacks kinda bites :)
