I need some good rat adventures.

Baron Opal

First Post
I've kind of painted myself into a corner. My group is going to investigate, clear out and otherwise terminate with extreme and fiery predudice a citadel of rat-men who have acquired the back half of a torn and mysterious tome.

Except I don't have a citadel of rat-men who have acquired the back half of a torn and mysterious tome. Drat.

I figure there must be, somewhere, a good adventure or two that I could cannabalize and kitbash into a citadel of rat-men who have acquired... well, you get the idea.

Or, at least a good map. A slick map and a couple photocopied pages of a Monster Manual and I'm good for a few hours.

Help...

With a little editing Dungeon Crawl Classic #27: Revenge of the Rat King, could work. It could be a round about way to get them the tome.
[sblock]Since it's a revenge story the heroes get duped into an ambush by the rat king's minions, get taken prisoner and escape to fight the rat king. You could do the same sort of thing, have the characters think they're going to get the book but it's really a set up to capture them. And eventually they can break out and get the tome they need.[/sblock]
Or it could easily be a follow up revenge plot for the ratmen once the party has stolen the tome. I've run it before and it's pretty fun but it is a plain old dungeon crawl, so may not be what you're looking for. And there are a few points in it that had encounters that did not mesh the theme of the rest of the adventure and I thought needed editing.

Ptolus has lots of Rat Men Stuff in it and you can get most sections on PDF, so you can just get what you need. You would probablly want the sections that cover the Sewers (for obvious reasons) and the Temple District (for the Temple of the Rat God and the lair below.) Or if a map is all you need just go here to Wizard's Map-A-Week Archives.

warhammer fantasy has a bunch of ratmen based adventures, though most won't be straight up clear the fortification of ratmen Crawl & Brawl.

Wererat adventure

Dungeon 138 had 'Urban Decay', a 2nd-level 3.5 adventure with wererats. It takes place in the sewers, but it appears to be dungeon-map-light.
