Human (battle) cleric build

Zeronic

First Post
Heey everyone,

Next to a campaing were I am an archer I have a campaign were I am a human (battle) cleric. Unfortunatly I lost my character sheet. When I made this char I had some help from a friend who ain't available for the coming time. I wonder if anyone can give me a build for a human cleric (32 point). We use PHP 3.5 and currently I am in a party with a warforged warlock. A rogue changeling and a human Samurai ( we call him dressman). If you have a link or an example I would glady look into it. I rather don't multiclass much.
If you have any questions please lemme know

Would you like to have a build that will outmatch your allies and make them seem irrelevant or would you like one that is just fun to play?

Something in between actually. I want to be able to hold my own in a battle but also help my party members (a bit). Our DM has countless traps but allows us to survive (for a price T_T). Our campaing ain't LOTS of battle but more of an explorer kind with occasional big battles. STream. I am allowed all books but like I said I don't like to multiclass a lot. Our setting takes place in a steampunk era and area's like stormwind( from DDO). Dunno the exact name of the book though T_T

I'll just suggest something simple that worked fine for me: Church Inquisitor prestige class in Complete Divine. It's not much better than regular cleric, but you can enter pretty early and easily, it doesn't hurt your CL, and gives you a few more skill points and actual class features.

In my case, I did a Dwarf Cleric, using the Races of Stone racial substitution level (Cleric 4, I think) to permanenlty lose a level 2 spell slot for Weapon Specialization with all hammers. I also started my career as Fighter 1 to help with combat (and there's likewise a Races of Stone racial sub. level for Dwarf Fighter 1 for free Weapon Focus with all axes), but you don't need to do that. Other than that, it's pretty simple, tank up in the best armor you can, use a shield and waraxe.

Some spells from Spell Compendium to look at:

Close Wounds (level 2): Immediate action ranged healing that, explicitly per the description, can prevent a character from dying with the on the spot healing.
Healing Lorecall (level 2): Lasts 10 min/level, though it requires ranks in heal skill to do any good. When you heal someone with ANY cure spell, you can also remove one of a laundry list of really nasty conditions, even stuff like Daze. So, buff with this and carry a wand of cure minor wounds. :)
Delay Death (level 4): Immediate action, ranged. For one round/level, the target cannot die from hit point damage. Just heal him up before the spell runs out! Note that without Diehard to fight on while dying, the target's still going to just be laying there unconscious if in the negatives anyway.

lol i'm a cleric, Male Human Clr6/RSoP9/Thau5: CR 20; Medium Humanoid ; HD 6d8+12(Cleric) , 9d6+18(Radiant Servant of Pelor) , 5d4+10(Thaumaturgist) ; hp 121; Init +1; Spd 20; AC:31 (Flatfooted:30 Touch:11); Atk +12/7/2 base melee, +13/8/3 base ranged; +17/12/7 (1d8+5, +5 Adamantine Longsword); AL NG; SV Fort +19, Ref +12, Will +30; STR 10, DEX 12, CON 14, INT 12, WIS 27, CHA 20.

Feats: Armor Proficiency: heavy, Armor Proficiency: light, Armor Proficiency: medium, Augment Summoning, Augment Summoning, Divine Shield, Extend Spell, Extra Turning, Persistent Spell, Shield Proficiency, Simple Weapon Proficiency, Spell Focus: Conjuration.
Spells Known (Clr 6/7/7/7/7/6/5/5/5/4):
Possessions:
Weapons: Mace of Smiting (75,312 gp); +5 Adamantine Longsword: Vorpal (203,315 gp).
Armor: +5 Called, Fortification, Heavy (100%) Full plate (26,650 gp).
Shields: +5 Mithral Animated, Ghost Ward (101,020 gp).
Goods: Coin: gp (164793) (164,793 gp).
Magic: Wondrous: random slot of Charisma +6, Wondrous:random slot of Wisdom +6; Ring: Freedom of Movement (40,000 gp); Ring: Blinking (27,000 gp).

I went with a Vorpal Sword for funnies. I'd most likely trade it out for a sufficiently sweet Warhammer or Longsword, since vorpal weapons aren't so great.
Put Armor Spikes, Shield Spikes, and wear Gauntlets as a weapon, enchant them all with +5 Defending (untyped bonus, +15 total AC). Grab Sure Striking and later Shadow Striking enchantments for your weapons/spikes.

Grab Strongarm Bracers, Wings of Flying OR Phoenix Cloak, a Reliquary Holy Symbol, a Belt of Battle,
Manuals/Tomes for +stats.
The idea is to Persist Divine Power, Touch Spells (according to Wizards customer service but not according to errata), ... well, hell. THIS:
