How to Stat Bloodrayne's Arm Blades

I've been seeing this commercial lately for a computer game called Bloodrayne. The lead character in the game, a vampire chick, has these interesting arm blades. They seem to be about short sword length, and they fold back along her arm when not in use.

Here's a picture: http://www.bloodrayne.com/loband/index.html

I was wondering how you guys think these things should be statted as exotic weapons. Just like short swords except with the ability to be folded back? How would that work in game terms exactly?

Thanks for helping me brainstorm. :)

hey Wolfspider!

speaking of Dhampirs, have you seen Oni's Awakened Dhampir PrC? (very cool, IMO)

how about...

Armblade (Small size exotic weapon)

Cost: 500 gp (?); damage: 1d6 (19-20/x2); weight: 4 lbs

an Armblade is a masterwork weapon that has a mechanical spring-loaded device in the arm grip that allows the blade to be positioned 'blade-forward' (which extends the blade out from the arm) or 'blade-back' (the blade rests at the back of the arm, from wrist to upper arm) as a free action. the blades can function as a weapon in either position, but 'blade-back' leaves the hands free to grip other items

that's just a quick 'stab' at it:D . when i went to the site, i could only view the screenshots (i couldn't download the movies). the blades themselves almost look long enough to be long sword blades, but this would cause problems with dual-wielding...
