Legend
When I was a youngster in the 1970s, I saw a cartoon movie/special on TV that was some sort of fantasy story. In it I distinctly remember these orc/goblin like monsters which they called "redcaps" (as they all wore red caps, duh), and they had spears/polearms as I recall.
This was around the time that they aired the Rankin Bass "hobbit" cartoon, and I remember it being a self contained story- not a series or anything. So I'd say mid to late 70s.
I can see those freakin Recaps as clear as day in my memory, but I have NO idea what the show was. I suspect it was an adaption of something classic- maybe out of Gary's required reading. I have not read it since I was a kid, could it be from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe? I know they made that into an animated film.
