Hellfire blood and flaming weapons

I have seen alot of "look at my sick build" threads where there is a claim that a Teifling with the Hellfire blood feat geats a bonus with a flaming weapon. I read the description of the feat and the weapon.

The feat sais
"You gain a +1 feat bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls when you use a power that has the fire or fear keyword."
The weapon description sais
"Power (At-Will ✦ Fire): Free Action. All damage dealt by this weapon is fire damage. Another free action returns the damage to normal."

So the weapon allows you to convert damage to fire. Great. What missing here is that the weapon does NOT say that it lends the fire keyword to the power, it sais it converts damage. So (VERY) technically this alleged synergy between Hellfire blood and Flaming weapon is specious, because the power has to have the fire keyword, which (unless it had it in the first place) it wont simply for using a flaming weapon.

Of course this might just be splitting hairs, but I get concerned that the designers put in a feat with one intention, and weapon with another, and the "power builders" out there have taken to it, mis-interpreted and are building on the basis.

Has this been previously qualified? Am I over-analysing? Opinions?

(One further qualification : I know the power of the weapon itself has the fire keyword, but Im talking about the other powers that are used)

You're missing this:

PHB p. 226 said:
Like racial powers and class powers, magic item powers often have keywords that indicate their damage or effect types. When you use a magic item as part of a racial power or a class power, the keywords of the item’s power and the other power all apply.

Since I already have it copied I'll paste this quote from the WotC FAQ.
15. When do a Magic Item's keywords apply?
If you use a magic item's power in conjunction with a power granted to you by your race or class, that item's keywords are added to the regular keywords of the power you are using. For example, if you are have a Flaming Weapon, and you use an at-will power to attack an enemy along with the at-will power of the Flaming Weapon, your attack will have the Fire keyword in addition to the normal keywords of your attack. You have to be using the powers of the weapon for those keywords to be added; simply using the magic item does not necessarily mean every keyword attached to a power of that item will be added.

Not to hijack Bob's thread, but anyone had issues with a Frost weapon and Lasting Frost + Wintertouched talents?

They seem a little overpowered in the right hands (also read: Rogue)...
