hi all..im creating a cleric for tomorrows game, and i thought about a 55-60 age cleric (but dont botter about alteration of stats for age-its a fantasy game, and i just don use it, if the player like the character ;)), with the drawing based on futurama's gary gygax.

so i was looking for some war god in greyhawk, and found heironeous. can someone tell me some 2ed stats for the god? i need only the spheres of influence (minor and major) and equipment?

if not, then could someone just give some tips on creating such a cleric?

Excepted and/or paraphrased from the From the Ashes box:

Priests of Heironeous ought tend towards lawful good, he is a patron of paladins after all. Area of influence includes honor, justice, righteous combat, chivalrous deeds, and the fair and good order of things.

The priests of Heironeous favor the battle axe as a weapon in 2nd ed. Magic chain armor earns "great kudos" among ardent followers of the god. Priests wear dark blue robes with silver trim with higher rank priests gaining greater ornate silver. Older priests are revered for strategic skills and as teachers. The militant priesthood maintains a network of communication and armories.

Services include singing battle hymns and sharing strengthening foods (meats, full-bodied red wine (in moderation!)). Priests must oppose Hextor.

2nd ed Spheres are: Combat, Guardian, Healing, Necromantic, Protection, Summoning, Sun, War, Wards.

Hmm...

I'd recommend St. Cuthbert, actually. The +1 mace fits in with St. Cuthbert and his cudgel.
