Pathfinder 1E Heavyload Belt + Muleback Cords... How do I do the math?

So... Heavyload Belt performs like Ant Haul, which is Carrying Capacity x3.
Muleback Cords serve as +8 to Strength for Carrying Capacity.

Assuming a Strength of 10, do we add 8, than triple 18 for 54?
Or, do we multiply 10 for 30, and add 8 for a 38?

Or, do we ignore any rules of math and simply apply the magical effects in the order you put the magical items on?

Ant Haul appears to just modify the carrying capacity, not the strength.

My guess is you'd add the 8 to get an 18 and go look up the new carrying capacity for an 18 using the "New Carrying Capacity" table under Ant Haul.

You add to the strength to find the effective carrying strength. (so 10 + 8 -> 18)

You look up the carrying capacity for 18 str and then you multiply the carrying capacity (not the str) by 3.
