HBO and Ricky Gervais's Extras

I caught the premiere episode of Extras and found the irreverent humor to be side-splitting. It's about as funny as anything I have ever seen and I hope it doesn't pull in the reins on itself. An excellent way to show Gervais wasn't a one-trick pony. Bravo!

I thought it was hilarious. Nobody does awkward comedy as well as Gervais - except maybe Christopher Guest and his usual crew. And I just read that Gervais is in Guest's next movie!

Kate Winslet grabbing her boob was classic. And I just wanted to make it stop when he was talking to the priest- I was mortified and cracking up at the same time.

It's a great series. I saw about three or four of them when they were showing over here. The Patrick Stewart episode has to be the best.

Ben Stiller sure has a good sense of humor about himself.

It is a great show, I haven't watched the second ep yet (yay DVR!) but the Kate Winslet bit was hilarious.

I watched the 2nd episode and thought it was better than the first! Some laugh till I can't breath moments! Still need to watch the third ep.

The scenes with his agent are priceless. I am worried, though, that the show is going to repeat itself a bit too much with the same jokes. We'll see, I guess.

My favourite was the Ross Kemp / Vinnie Jones episode.

"What does SAS stand for, then"

"Super Army Soldiers!"

Dunno if those not from the UK will get the Ross Kemp stuff, though - you have to be familiar with (yuck!) Eastenders from about 10 years ago.

A lot of that ep went over my head due to a lack of cultural references, but it was still amusing.
