D&D 5E Haste Question

Haste mentions you can get an extra action on your turn which you can use for the attack action but it says one weapon only. Does this mean you can only get the extra attack if wielding a single weapon? In other words, you would not get it for an offhand weapon attack if dual wielding?

If so, this means a Frenzied Barbarian in a Rage with Haste cast on him and using Great Weapon Mastery could potentially get 3-4 attacks in one turn if everything aligns correctly. He gets his first attack action of the round like everyone else then his Extra Attack gained by many at lvl 5 for his 2nd. attack. If he reduces an opponent to 0 HPs and/or crits an opponent he automatically gets a free attack against another adjacent enemy and because he is Frenzied he would get to use a Bonus Action to Attack as well. This would give him 3-4 attacks depending on circumstance.

Yes.

The off hand attack you do with a second weapon, you do with your bonus action on your turn.

You do not get to make a whack with your off hand weapon each time you act. Only if you spend your one and only bonus attack do your offhand weapon come into business. And that will only happen once each turn.

Since Haste does not say you gain an additional bonus action, you can't do anything extra with your offhand weapon with Haste compared to without Haste.

Anytime you spend your bonus action on anything else than making that off hand whack, you don't get to make it. Just picking up the off hand weapon does nothing except add a way to spend your bonus action - a type of action you usually get only one of each turn. Not even Haste adds a second bonus action to your turn.

If so, this means a Frenzied Barbarian
Haste means to add one to whatever number of attacks you normally get.

If a Frenzied Barbarian usually gets three attacks, now he gets four.
If a Wizard usually gets one attack, now she gets two.
If a max level Fighter usually gets four attacks, now she gets five.

Nothing special about your case. Just add one.

If a low-level Ranger normally gets two attacks (one in each hand), now he gets three. (You add one, not two, just as for everybody else.)

It simply is +1 attacks. Regardless.

Great weapon mastery says you can use a bonus action to get another attack. You only get one bonus action so it can't stack with frenzy unless that doesn't require a bonus action. Not in front of PHB but I believe it does
