Good Map for a Tavern Brawl

Marauder_POV

First Post
OK So my PCs are going to get ambushed in a tavern. Problem is I haven't got a Tavern Map, And i am unskilled in the art of art. So I know that there is a huge amount of Fanbased non copywrite maps out there, but i was wondering if I could Poll The Crowd, as it were, and Find a really good one.

Only needs to be one level and have a bar of somekind. Prefer it to be able to be printed on an A4 or A3 sheet. One with some nice graphics would be good too, as my players lack a detailed imagination.....

Was hoping for some maps that a player has used and enjoyed, or found good quality.

All the maps on wizards are little tiny pictures, they seem to want to sell the book that the map came out of, instead of giving the map away for free which i can totally understand, they are a business.

I've had a bit of a google around but as i said i was hoping for someone to recomend a map....

If you buy the Hammerfast supplement, they have an excellent map of a tavern, first and second floor that covers about 18 inches by 2+ feet, all on one side of poster paper. It has the 1 inch grid also.

The latest duyngeon tiels can make a nice tavern also, though you might well need two sets.

Dundjinni is usually the first place I stop for homemade maps. Here's a link to a search for "tavern" in the maps forum:

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums Search Results: tavern

There are quite a few good ones in that list, I'll link some of my favorites. Some of them have grids, but that's not a bad thing if you're printing these out and using them:

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: The Tavern

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: My second map, The Hagfish Tavern!

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: Nulb Boatman’s tavern and Market

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: Tavern - Emerald Cup

Dundjinni Mapping Software - Forums: Just another Tavern 1st floor

The 4e 'Village of Hommlet' module that was sent for free to every RPGA member includes a nice tavern poster map.

Then there's the Paizo flip mat and at least one other tavern poster map from one of WotC's products, either Fantastic Locations or an adventure module.

All of them are of excellent quality and you don't have to print them yourself.
