Good Gaming Stores in Atlanta?

Sorry, I don't know Atlanta and can't help you except to say that I think your question in not OT and therefore could be posted in the General forum where you'll probably get an answer.

By the way, I'm not a mod and you may want to check with one before posting in the General forum. ;)

Where are you in Atlanta? Arguably the best and most popular gaming/geekdom store in Atlanta is Oxford Comics, which I /believe/ is on Piedmont road. I know how to get there from my apartment, but you'll probably want to do a Google search.

If you were here on a weekend, you could probably find open gaming at The War Room, which is up I-85, north of the city center. They don't have so much in terms of products, though.

I suggest Oxford. You won't be disappointed (unless you happen to be a representative of the Japanese film industry, in which case you'll die upon realizing how many, well, illegal DVDs they keep at the store for rental purposes; but they're mostly things that haven't been licensed here, so they're in a legal gray area).

Sword of the Phoenix would be a great choice. Titans has a couple stores around I think. One is on hwy 41 in Marietta not to far from 285.

I would avoid Xavain games and comics just because I don't like the owners. My neighborhood game store is Dr. No's it is on hwy 5 in Marietta. That might be a bit too far.

War room is not as big as it used to be and moved to Duluth. You'll have to look them up.

Titan on 41 is not worth a special trip. It's really small and mostly comic oriented. I really like the War Room but I haven't been to their new location. The one on Hwy. 5 that somebody mentioned has a nice spread too, but it's likely going to be a bit far to get to.

I mentioned Dr. No's also.

War Room again is small. I've been only once to the new store but I think you can just scan the place from the entrance and see everything.
