Gate - Alternate Prime Material Planes?

Okay, just a quick question if a character on Ansalon cast gate, could she possibly connect to Faerûn?

Yes.

Let's break it down. Krynn and Toril are now considered to each be on an alternate Prime Material Plane (and thus each in a different cosmology), as you said. Manual of the Planes says that the only planar route from one cosmology to another is via the Plane of Shadow.

Now, you're asking if there are any ways to directly connect from one cosmology to another, without having to traverse Shadow; in this case, via a gate spell. Luckily, a recent product did comment on this. Lords of Madness, page 9, first full paragraph, last sentence, says "Various forms of gates and other world-spanning magic permit a knowledgeable traveler to reach an entirely different world with a mere step."

Just to be clear, this is under the "Alternate Material Planes" header, so between that and the preceding sentences, there is no confusion: a gate spell (or some form of it) does let you move from one cosmology to another.

Individual cosmologies have their own rules for transit to and from. Double check available resourses before you wind up over your head. if it CAN be done, then someone has done it, make sure they came back in one peice.

Example: Ravenloft is a roach motel: you won't check out.

Ravenloft is an example of a variant rule, but unless something specifically says so, there's no reason a gate won't work. Places like Ravenloft are an exception to what is usually a pretty safe assumption, especially since Ravenloft is a plane and not a cosmology. For Krynn to Toril, no warning is necessary.

Well, it's not oblivion, it's being in the Wall of the Faithless, and a wish or miracle can restore you. Besides, even at the moment of death you can pick a patron deity.
