Game of Thrones - Oberyn Martell (The Red Viper) is cast

Pedro Pascal, of Graceland, the Good Wife, Nikita and several other shows... (even had a small role in one Buffy episode in Season 4). One of my favorite characters in all the five books.

Man, the fight between the Mountain and the Red Viper is looking pretty weird in my mind right now. Ian Whyte vs Pedro Pascal. It comes across as they couldn't get the people they wanted for either role. And it will be Ian Whyte. Conan Stevens was saying he won't be coming back and wished all the best for Ian.

Man, the fight between the Mountain and the Red Viper is looking pretty weird in my mind right now. Ian Whyte vs Pedro Pascal. It comes across as they couldn't get the people they wanted for either role. And it will be Ian Whyte. Conan Stevens was saying he won't be coming back and wished all the best for Ian.

For most of the big showdown, Whyte will be armored in full plate, so there shouldn't be much difference between Stevens & Whyte. Whyte is only slightly thinner than Stevens and may even be an inch taller, if I recall. Just put in some shoulder padding and give his armor the same couters and pauldrons that Stevens had in Season 1 and you'll hardly know the difference. Heck, you can even put lifts in his boots to give him an extra inch or two in height as well.

(Just googled them - Stevens is 7'0" and Whyte is 7'1")

That's what it was! I thought it was strange how different they looked wearing the same armor, but Whyte doesn't have those huge shoulder thingies.

I personally think they should get the guy who played Andre the Giant in the biopic - Daniel Gilchrist - who is 7'7". Just think how that would look next to Pedro Pascal, who seems to be average height, at best.
