No Dany and No Jon, which is surprising.

Still, I quite liked that they're really pushing the "background" characters more - really showing the backdrops for Theon's and Renly/Loras's arcs in Clash of Kings/Season 2.

There were a lot of things to like about this episode, and Tyrion/Dinklage remains my favorite character/actor hehe, but I'm unconvinced by some of the actors on this show, namely Littlefinger and the Spider. That exchange in the throne room just wasn't enough for me, and admittedly I was underwhelmed by them last episode too.

I still like the show, though I remember being a little more enthralled with the goings on in the book than I am on the show, but that could very well be because I know what happens. I have talked to several people who haven't read the books, though, and they find its pacing a little slow. That could just be the nature of these tremendous stories. Wait till they get to Feast hehe.

All together I'm enjoying the series. Gotta sign up for that HBO go thing to see two episodes next week.

Glad to see Loras show up in this episode, though I think I saw a bit more of him than I strictly had to. I'm a bit worried that they won't set up Berric Dondarrion to go off hunting the Mountain, but I was proven wrong last week, so maybe I will again.

This was a good episode, with less exposition than last week but did a good job moving the plot forward. Glad that Stannis got a call out, and glad that they set up Yoren to recognizes Arya when he needs to.

Once again, the violence was a bit rough for my wife -- particularly poor Jory's end. But I liked the episode and see the climax of the book hurtling toward us very rapidly.

Great episode. They're really doing the best they can with the wealth of material and characters in the book. Was a pity
that the plot to assassinate the King during the melee
didn't come up, but in hindsight it wasn't that important.

I definitely think the series is getting better and better as it goes along. I can't wait to see how the second half of this season plays out.

I thought the scene between Cersei and Robert was an amazing use of creative license that brought more to the series even though it wasn't something that was in the book. Kudos to the writers and directors (and actors) for bringing us that well scripted and acted scene.

One small complaint: bring back Syrio! I'm not even asking for much screen time, but it would have been nice to see him instructing Arya prior to her feline pursuits.

Looks like you'll get some more, based upon the preview. And someone's getting his golden crown!
