D&D Beyond has the massive free sourcebook Baldur’s Gate Gazetteer expanding on the classic Sword Coast city at the center of the recent video game Baldur’s Gate 3. This setting book goes into detail on the city including explorations of the districts, details on the government and economy, landmarks and citizens to encounter, and more including a new background and rules for shared party backgrounds called Dark Secrets.
Three Wild Embers, LLC, released STRONG RPG Core System, the core rulebook for the classless open-source fantasy RPG. The 171-page rulebook offers the full rules for the system plus 21 common character archetypes to show how the mix-and-match approach to character creation allows for a variety of builds unrestrained by class.
To promote their current Kickstarter, Caesar Ink posted a massive demo for the Doomsong RPG and the setting Lord Have Mercy Upon Us. The 120-page book includes full character creation, skull and combat rules, details of the campaign setting, NPC collection, and even an in-universe fairy tale collection.
Alexotron released Invaders!, a short RPG that places players in the role of alien spies living in secret on Earth suck on this insignificant rock until you can get a new assignment from the Galactic Hierarchy while trying to stay hidden from the secret government agency The Bureau attempting to hunt down alien intruders.
And for the other side of that dynamic, ohhigames has Project: Blue Skies, a solo journaling RPG inspired by the 1960s UFO research projects going through reports from across the country determining which are legitimate sightings of unknown aerial phenomena, which are hoaxes, and which might just be from beyond the stars.
High-powered attorney by day, bloodthirsty monster by night, Lycans & Lawyer from Jozef Frajkor is a one-page solo game where you play a lawyer who is also a werewolf.
Black Gambeson released The Ruin in the Savage Wastes, a Level 1 adventure for Shadowdark created part of the Shadowdark Game Jam that sends the parties to reclaim treasure from a damaged keep out on the borderlands.
If you want more adventure for Shadowdark, Hrafn Forge has The Caves of Respite, ancient halls in the craggy folds of the Frostfang Highlands overrun by a motley assortment of unsavory inhabitants, sort of like these caves are a bit chaotic.
Once you’ve gone to the borderlands for the keep and tamed the chaos of the caves, your 3rd level party in Shadowdark may want to visit The Arachnid Queen Velga from Deanna Bollinger-Hill to free the villagers and townfolk from the demonic webs from the pit of this spider queen.
Thank you for calling the Busted Wizard Helpline have you tried counterspelling and casting again? This duet RPG from Brady Koch is based off the novella The Hotline at the End of the World and places you on your first day on the job running the crystal ball helpline troubleshooting magical issues with few resources and next to no training.
If you’d like to add some more options to your 5e combat, Better Play has 5e Special Attacks with optional rules for 17 new special attacks and 7 new conditions with options for every character type to add tactical depth to your fights.
LaCara Games released Mythic Space Player’s Guide, the player-facing rulebook for their science fiction game with narrative mechanics based on Forged in the Dark and tactical combat inspired by D&D 4e and the XCOM video games.
If you want some classic style sci-fi from the golden age of adventure where heroes would travel to Mars to punch Nazis, Rocket Age Savaged from Why Not Games lets you join the ICIC studying artifacts from Mars and protecting the ancient technology from Nazis in this Savage Worlds Jumpstart.
The Pathfinder Infinite adventure A Missing Rat Problem from Val Athenar is a new twist on the classic low-level “rats in the basement” adventure by sending your 1st level party into the basement of retired wizard Mildred Dubois to find and safely retrieve her pet dire rat that hasn’t been seen coming up the basement stairs for food and pets for three days.
Designed for Pirate Borg but useful for any pirate-themed game, Heretical Hedgehog has Caught: A Compendium of Punishments Pyratical with a list of random tables for punishments for any pirate captured whether it’s by other pirates, government authorities, or the Inquisition.
Le Paysagiste de l'Imaginaire released The Underground River, a one-page dungeon that can be dropped into any campaign and even any system with location descriptions in both English and French.
In the one-shot 5e adventure All the Devils Are Here from Inherit Games, the 2nd level party gets stranded on a not-so-deserted island following a sea voyage that goes awry. Designed for new DMs and players.
Over on Dungeonmasters Guild, Doug Strain released Ruins on the Borderlands based on the 1908 novel by William Hope Hodgson and inspired by both HP Lovecraft and Sir Terry Pratchett, this adventure for 5th to 7th level characters sends them to an abandoned mansion of a mysterious Recluse and discover the cosmic mysteries within.
And another adventure inspired by classic literature, Robin Gallego has The Hauntings of Sleepy Hollow, a 4th level adventure of roleplay and investigation with a small dungeon crawl that places the party at the center of mysterious disappearances.
Characters in D&D seem to fall a lot, don’t they? If you’d like rules a bit more detailed than just damage rolls, Duckslayer Games has In Depth Falling with rules and new feats to allow for more distinction between being shoved off a cliff and jumping off intentionally and rolling with the fall to parkour away the damage.

A new Ice Age spreads across Faerun as the Frost King leads an army of hundreds of zombies in this rare Tier 4 adventure Neverspring Frost from William Rotor inspired by an attempt to give a better ending to the final season of Game of Thrones for level 17-20 characters and a whopping 240-pages long.

The five-part adventure path from Brian Hamilton, Rise of the Genie Lords, is available as a bundle with all five parts in PDF along with the full campaign in Roll20 format.
