Charity Bundles and Sales

Once again, I'm starting off with my GoFundMe for medical bills. From late October to mid November, I was hospitalized with kidney failure and infected wounds in my lower legs. My insurance has fully kicked in and I don’t have to worry about any new bills or transportation costs. However, over the past months, I’ve racked up a LOT of credit card debt paying for transport to get me to my appointments along with stuff like buying groceries and paying bills. I also have a stack of past-due medical bills about an inch thick I really need to start making a dent in. Any help you can give so I can pay down these high interest cards will be a huge assistance.
  • Charity: Darryl Mott’s medical bills (all proceeds)

I downloaded the might and magic free rules and reminded me why I’ve not really invested in their 2d20 and resulting games rules. For smaller fan base, having even smaller rules based for it probably why Conan and other properties change hands often.

The Pro Fantasy Cartographer bundle is a really good deal for $30 for 39 items. I know there is no way I'll ever figure these programs out, I'd buy them if I would, but I know I wont. Although it does have the user's guide with it which might help but my attention span is just too short these days to put the time and effort in to become proficient enough with it to create decent maps to make it worth my time and money. It is tempting. I wonder if there is a v4 in the works and that is why they are offering it so cheap, and if v3 will no longer be supported?

I went for the Pro Fantasy mapping bundle. There is a learning curve for Campaign Cartographer but I've done that a while back. Now, having just retired, I might have the time to use it :D

There are a lot more resources to learn CC3 now. Profantasy has been doing weekly (mostly) live mappings showcasing something but showing how to do it all. If you need help, the FaceBook group is quite active. Or DM me.

I said that and I do think CC3 is great. It's the most powerful mapping program out there.

But

It's not my first choice anymore. I use so many but if you want quick maps, I would recommend DungeonDraft for battlemaps and WonderDraft for overland.

Really, it depends on what you need it for. Foundry has a lot of support in making maps and scenes now. It's something else I use.

I went for the Pro Fantasy mapping bundle.
Monday when we were playing D&D. One of my players bought it too and convinced me that for the price it was too good of a deal to pass up. I tried installing CC3+ and keep getting an error message when I try and launch the program. You have to retrieve the license for each program on the Humble Bundle site, then download the program from Pro Fantasy download page. When I looked at the download page some of the programs that were supposed to be available don't show up. Only thing I can think of is that once you download a program you can remove it from the list and it's replaced by another. City & Dungeon Designer 3 don't show up for instance. Did you get it to install & run.

Here's the error message. I have to open task manager to get the pop up window to close.

EDIT: I contacted Profantasy tech support and the told me to install this.
Windows redistributable: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
It solved the problem.

Regarding items not showing up, the Profantasy website automatically populated some products on the download page, but I had to take the serail numbers provided on the Humble Bundle website and copy and paste them into download page on Profantasy's download page for them to show up for download. It's a pretty long and tedious process. Seems to be working now.
