Anybody out there that is interested in historical fantasy type settings? Specifically eastern european ( Slavic ) or western european? ( French, Spanish ). I currently run a germanic-slavic setting with 18th century technology and dress ( tricorn hats, frock coats, and muskts oh my! ). I'm kind of alone out here in the gaming universe, and I'm eager to meet people that are or have worked on similair settings...The cookie cutter fantasy settings are more lame than ever now...and it's getting more difficult to find material that blends well with my setting.

If you're out there, please respond. Artists that have a knack for creating Brotherhood of the Wolf type pics are welcome too! For the life of me I can't find any artists that can or are willing to draw that genre.

I put those up just to give those interested an idea as to what I'm talking about...I'm looking forward to discussing such settings here at Enworld.

You're Not Alone!!

I'm a big fan of 17th and 18th century Europe as a setting for movies, stories, etc. I'm currently revamping my homebrewed campaign world to better reflect this. In it, the humans have come across the ocean to find a "new world" populated by various races who use magic. In many respects, it is magic vs. technology, but the humans are unique in their posession of clerical magic (a concept I borrowed from Birthright).

So yes to tricorns, frock coats, and muskets! Why should 7th Sea players have all the fun?? :p
