A master of disguise, stealth and shadow, Edge has spent so many years non existing that he forgot his true name, his past as a normal person and recently his voice, sacrificed to his stealth. That scares him, because continuing that path will eventually make him become a monster, his humanity locked in a cold blooded shadow. After weeks of meditation, he decided to do whatever needed to mend his damaged dharma, using his abilities for a good cause: maybe, what he needs to restore his emotions.

Edge´s disguise skills act at an unconscious level, making him both ever changing and unremarkable; the only thing sure about him is that he´s caucasic and about 5´8´´ tall. He never speaks, drawing instead small cards with the appropiate text whn he wants to communicate. How is that he always has the right card, and where does he hide all the ninja tools and weapons is something you´ll never know.

One Eye is a fairly big guy, roughly 5'10". He's a bit of an embarrassment to his family, a prestigious cop family in Hong Kong, because of his decidedly unorthodox style of taking down criminals, but he isn't the "black sheep" that his brother Johnny is.

He approaches his job with a kind of laid-back cool, but inside, he's a bit of a mess -- he has about as many bitter arguments with his wife as with his boss, he's furious with Johnny for betraying his family and killing his best friend with the drugs he's sold, and he's mad as hell about having lost his eye, over which he wears a pirate-style eyepatch, and about which he will not speak.

One Eye's primary weapon for meting out his brand of justice is the Colt Python, a coming of age gift from his father that was originally meant for his older brother Johnny before he turned to crime. Although he prefers the Glock, his service gun, he uses Mr. Python in honor of his father, and has sworn to use it to take Johnny down.

Background

The two partners had arroived to the conclusion they were hunting a monster who have a metal armor of some kind, but robot are still at the level of a small stupid dog who can hardly walk, so a cyborg is just impossible.

They were not fools. They know monsters exist. At least once a year, some creature appear in Honk Kong and start to do trouble. They had to be neutralized, and that's what the job of Sun Jin and his partner. They had both be trained to figth them, and the best way was by magic. It is pretty rare to see magician in these years, but the police have a squad to figth any who would use those power badly. Fight fire with fire, or should be said magic with magic.

That night, they were in the car, talking about nothing... The sky was covered, so Sun Jin wanted to be sure their would not be too much light to see into the car, a little trick he have learned over the years. They were watching at an old temple. It was there the monster was last seen, and it was the second time for that place, a good lead to follow. They had found nothing during the day, but they become more lucky during the night. The creature was entering the temple.

They both get out of the car and they walk into the temple. It was dark insight, so Man-Yee light up the four torch with her magic, her trick she learned over the years. They start to look everywhere. No sign at all. It had dissapear. Sun Jin saw something moving in a dark corner. He took his gun and shot in the shadow. The sound of metal against metal was heard. The bullet didn't seem to had scratch anything.

The creature leap out of the shadow and charge Sun Jin. Just before he rush the man, a wall of ice just appeared in the way, blocking the wayy of the creature. Sun Jin create a wind and the wall falled on the creature, but it seems unaffected. With his big metal claw, the monster hit Sun Jin who fly out the temple and fall 20 feets from where he was standing. He hit his head on the stairs of the temple, knocking him a moment.

When he take back his sense, he saw his partner being grapple by the creature. It was sucking the blood of her partner. Sun Jin rush the creature and the three fall on the ground. The first to stand up was the creature who hit Sun Yee who was still on the ground. A rush of pain streamed in his body. Never he has feel something like that. It was like a volcano was erupting inside his chest. The pain gained his brain. He tought his skull was on the point to blow under the pressure. He knew it, it was his end.

But the pain stops. His sense was back. He saw the creature take out his claw from his chest and start to walk to his partner. Not vanquish, Sun Jin stand up and blast the creature with a ligthning bolt. The creature fall on the ground. Sun Jin continu with another blast, and blast over blast until the creature stop to move.

When the creature stop to move, he looked at Man-Yee. She was unconsious. He used his art of healing to get her back on her feets. When she opened her eyes, she starts to scream, and then she cast her wards against monsters. Sun Jin didn't know she was acting like that, but when she finish to cast, he starts to feel fear. He was afraid of her partner. He flee as far as he could. When he come back to his sense, he didn't know what to do. What could have happened.

He start to walk back to the temple, but when he was standing in the doorway, he saw himself, lying dead in the temple. He was dead. How could that be possible. He saw her partner crying near his body. She was telling how she was loving him but didn't dare to tell him. She didn't saw the ghost outside the temple.

And then the creature start to move again. It was still alive. the creature start to run and jump in a window and flee in the dark. he start to hear the police car who was coming. Sun Jin decide it was better to hide for now.

That was about a year ago. He had been the hunter all his life, but now he is the prey. He is a creature who would be hunt down by his old friends. He has learned that Man-Yee have been taking all the ghost files. It seems she want to kill him. She loved him but now want to kill him because he is no more human, what a faith. Worst, he was loving her too, and still do it today. And that metal monster. It was still somewhere. He had meet him once since that tragic night, and he was roaming near Man-Yee house. He shock him before it run away. The creature was hunting Man-yee, but he will not let him kill his partner and the only girl he loved.

Melodramatic Hook
Love:
Sun Jin is in love with is old partner. Life would have been easy if he was still alive, but he is not. Worst, his love is now on a ghost hunt against him and wil try to kill him.

Vengence
A creature with a metal skin have kill him and he want his vengence. He will not sleep (many sense in this word :) ) until he will have not find it.

Protection
Life seems not easy, as the creature seems to hunt his love, so Sun Jin have always a eye on Man-Yee to be sure the creature is not roaming around here. At least, killing her does not seem to be on the top of his agenda.

Dennis "Chopper" Guffey - Everyman Hero

BOD: 7 (Tgh 8)
CHI: 0 (For 10)
MIND: 5 (Wil 6)
REF: 7

Skills:
Drive +7 (14)
Guns +1 (8)
Info/Beer +8 (13)
Info/Fishing +5 (10)
Info/Sportsfan +8 (13)
Info/Lumberjacking +7 (12)
Martial Arts +6 (13)
Gambling +1 (11)

Unique Schticks:
Lucky - Fortune dice spent do not reduce Fortune rating for checks.
This'll Do - Add +1 AV for any attack with an improvised weapon.

Wealth: working stiff

Possessions: carries nothing more dangerous than a Leatherman multi-tool.

Dennis "Chopper" Guffey hails from Marinette, Wisconsin, just a short trek north of Green Bay. He is a lumberjack both by trade and by hobby. He works for a lumber company, operating the heavy equipment used for cutting and hauling timber. During his weekends, he's a semi-professional lumberjack, competing in events such as Underhand Chop, One and Two Man Crosscut, and Log Rolling.

His passions in life revolve around drinking beer and lumberjacking, drinking beer and fishing, and drinking beer and backing the Packers. Oh, and deer hunting (and drinking beer). He is approaching his late 20's and endures the constant badgering from his mother about finding a proper girl and settling down. Generally a very laid-back and easygoing guy, he is polite to ladies but won't take an insult sitting down. He insists on dressing in work clothes unless he absolutely can't get away with it (plaid flannel shirt, dirty jeans, heavy boots, and a very well worn Packers baseball cap).

Dramatic Hook: While leaving the beer tent at the Lumberjack Days Festival with some buddies a few years back, they spotted a fortune teller's tent. His friends insisted that Dennis get his fortune read - it was his birthday, after all. The gypsy laid the cards before him and immediately her eyes rolled up and fluttered uncontrollably. In a creepy voice, she pronounced: "You who are the Prince of the Hallowed Path, whom the Shadowed Flightless shall prevail upon; open the door to yesterday only after the ascention of the Orange Moon, or face the demise of your very world. Go Packers." The gypsy collapsed and Dennis left, laughing off the silly show with his friends as they stumbled home.

Less Dramatic Hook: Dennis' older brother Jonathan, the successful black sheep of the family, has been working for some business in Hong Kong for the last few years. When asked what sort of work he does, Jonathan mutters something about international investment management and changes the subject. When his boss at the lumber company informed Dennis that he had acrued six weeks of vacation and a new "use it or lose it" policy was being implemented, he decided to take off for Hong Kong to visit his brother. Much to Dennis' disappointment, however, Jonathan has been too busy to entertain his younger brother or show him the sights. Dennis, ever the optimist, has taken it upon himself to wander the city and try to absorb the culture (and local beers) by the whims of fate.

Tatjana Krucenko
EX-Special Forces

"You have to go with the times." At least they say that. And if you are working for the special forces in Russia that goes double once the Mafia starts to call the shots. But if you are one of the few souls left that still believe in the ideals since before the breakdown of the soviet union like Tatjana then you don't easily accept to work for criminals. Of course she didn't believe the communists where perfect either but like all good citizens she thought they would find the right way eventually. Now the problem is that if you know a lot about the people in power but refuse to work for them they sometimes try to get rid of you. Again like in the case of Tatjana.
As an ex soviet agent Tatjana had nowhere to go after the fall of the Iron Curtain and since she tried to prevent some of the criminals who now rule big sections of the military from getting there shortly after the breakdown she has too many enemies to stay at home. By now she has given up the fight since the notion that the soviet union might rise again started to sound ridiculous even to her a few years back. She has been on the run for a while now, working as a mercenary therever the payment was good. Recently she decided that she doesn't want or need any of this live any longer and called in the last few favours people owed her to get a new identity. Her chinese contacts got her a new life in Honk Kong. Now she lives a simple live and jobs as a bartender in the evenings. As far as she is concerned it doesn't matter that she lost the well-paid lifestyle she had before as long as she can have some peace for now. She'd rather never touch a gun again but like all the old veterans she has kept them just in case... .
Despite the fact that she is well over 40 Tatjana looks like 20 at most since she had a complete body surgery then her old contacts gave her a new life.
