Feat chains that make Run and Endurance worthwhile?

Hi there,

Feeling a tad lazy at the moment, anyone have a list or know off the top of their head additional feats that use Run or Endurance as requisites? Neither of these feats is that spectacular by itself, but when used as requisites for better feats, they become easier to swallow.

Cheers - T

Endurance is fine. It only gets overshadowed because magic lets a PC ignore a lot of the things endurance does for you. Plus you need endurance for Die Hard.

Run. Well if the DM uses status-quo encounters that the party has to run from or die occasionally, the feat is fine. Though i have considered allowing a character with Great Cleave and Run to perform a "Charging cleave rush" at the expence of their dex bonus, where if they drop the foe they charged, they can keep moving in the line of the charge, taking one attack on each foe they are about to move into the space of, continuing that movement if that foe is killed as well. Think of it as a "Feat synergy"

Barbarian half-orc with Run and Dash, carrying a limp kobold sorcerer and a limp gnome wizard on his backpack and picked up the human cleric (who got reduced by the gnome) can outrun cavalry.

We used that once.

There are two feats in PHB which require Endurance called something like Steadfast Determination and Indomitable Soul. One of them lets you roll 2d20 and take the better roll for fear and mind-affecting stuff, another lets you apply Con instead of Wis to Will.

I think those are pretty awesome for a fighter.

Diehard (Requires Endurance) - Player's Handbook
Epic Endurance (Requires Endurance, Con 25) - Complete Warrior
Fleet of Foot (Requires Dex 15, Run) - Complete Warrior
Indomitable Soul (Requires Endurance, Iron Will) - Player's Handbook 2
Steadfast Determination (Requires Endurance) - Player's Handbook 2

That's all I could find, sadly.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall any feat chains (besides those mentioned above) that have them as prerequisites...but I know there are PrCls that require one or the other Feat as a prerequisite.

Endurance is much better in 3.5 than it was in 3.0. Since it now grants the ability to sleep in medium armor without suffering the fatigue penalties. Our DM had/has a nasty habit of having most of the encounters involving things sneaking up on the party when they are sleeping. This extra benefit alone is pretty useful andd the other benefits to things (like to avoid drowning) are very nice.

Run is well, less useful by itself - the big one there is the prerequisite for prestige classes.
