Far Shot Feat + Distance Magic Special Ability

When figuring the range of say a longbow that has been enchanted with the Distance special quality and you have the Far Shot feat, how is the range calculated?

I think it might be 200 feet (100 ft for longbow x2 for Distnce quality) + 1/2 would be 300 feet.

Either that or 100 ft. + 50 ft. + 100 ft. = 250 ft?

OR, could it be 150 ft (100 ft base + 50 ft.) x2 = 300 feet?

Not quite sure how its handled, so I need some help. I've always played more melee type characters.

The magical property changes the range of the weapon.

The feat applies the the user when using any ranged (or thrown) weapon.

So you take the range of the weapon (in this case 200 ft) and then add 50% for the "skill" that the feat reflects in the archer.

Distance: This property can only be placed on a ranged weapon. A weapon of distance has double the range increment of other weapons of its kind.

Benefit: When you use a projectile weapon, such as a bow, its range increment increases by one-half (multiply by 1-1/2). When you use a thrown weapon, its range increment is doubled.

Now if something happens to supress the magicial properties of the bow the archer still gets to apply his ar shot feat, only the range increment of the weapon has changed prior to applying the modifier due to skill.

Strange and not according to the usual stacking rules but I agree... the distance enchantment does not grant a bonus to the range.

So, it would be 300 ft then, right? And it's not the only "weird" stacking case. Power attack with a 2H weapon is technically getting +2 damage per point. Even though that's basically a 2x multiplier, on a crit with a x2 weapon, you'd still double it to 4 per point, instead of 3 (if it were an actual multplier nad thus subject to multiplier stacking rules).

That would be because it is not "stacking".

They are not bonuses (the "stacking" rules) and they are not "effects" (as in spell effects.

They are also not double the double type of rules since the change is permanent - like different types of bows in the first place..

They are more like using different weapons - like one is a long bow (100 ft range) and the other is a composite longbow (110 ft range). Each have different "ranges".

It isn't that distance you worry about, it is the 1500 ft shot that you want the range for. Great for ships or large battles, but not much else.
