EZD6—Curious To Learn More

I recently learned about Scotty DM’s EZD6 system and immediately got excited by the concept, but I’m trying to learn all I can before I take the dive. I’ve trolled through various sites and heard nothing but praise about the system’s simplicity and how well it holds up a session, but when it comes to how well the system handles anything longer than one-shots all I hear is “The system could totally handle it and it would be fun/fine. I haven’t done it myself, but it should be fine.”
Well, despite the relative youth of the system, has anyone here played EZD6 over a multi-session campaign? How was it? How did your Rabble Rouser handle progression and growth, as far as characters, items, or narrative situations go, within the system?

And, of course, if anyone else wants to share any other thoughts about EZD6, please let me know!

I have run EZD6 but not a campaign. It was a one-shot.

I was the referee. I dislike cutesy names for the referee. It was good. I tend to handle advancement as diegetic anyway, so it worked great. I’m also a fan of one-use magic items that are gonzo, so there was no worries about over-powered characters. The narrative stuff is much the same as any other RPG. But we loved the free-form magic.

The free-form magic and the way die resolution is handled was a big draw for me - I like giving the “referee” more wiggle room for making things harder and easier rather than, like some systems, basically having flat difficulty for everything.
I like micro-RPGs in concept, and I’ve had fun with games like Tiny Dungeons, but I wanted just a bit more, and it looked like EZD6 might hit that sweet spot I’ve been hunting.
