So, in the spell Enlarge Person it says:
"This spell causes instant growth of a humanoid creature, doubling its height and multiplying its weight by 8. This increase changes the creature’s size category to the next larger one. The target gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size."
Then, there is this:
"A size increase affects any special ability the creature has that is affected by size. Increased size also affects a creature’s ability scores, AC, attack bonuses, and damage values as indicated on the tables below.
Medium Large +8 -2 +4 +2 -1"
So, is the +2/-2 from Enlarge Person in addition to that? Instead of that? If it's instead of, why is it?
Thanks,
Calypso
EDIT: A secondary question is, assuming it's the first (+2/-2), how is this better than Magic Weapon? I mean, they stack, yeah, but if I had to pick one, why would I pick Enlarge Person over Magic Weapon?
