D&D 3E/3.5 Emotion Spell in 3.5 ?

First Post
Hello!

The Moon domain (FRCS) has the Emotion spell at 4th level, but the spell doesn't exist in 3.5 anymore, it is split up into several others, like Heroism, Rage, or Crushing Despair.

Now what spell would be appropriate for the 4th level domain slot?

Are there any updated domain lists already, which I am not aware of?

Or else, any idea for an appropriate spell?

Crushing Despair or Good Hope might fit (the latter presumably fitting better, flavor-wise). Both aren't Clr spells at all, so they should work fine as a lv4 domain spell.
If this doesn't seem "powerful" enough for you, you might even combine the two for a new spell named... Emotion ;)
Like this:

Emotion
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Moon 4
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Targets: One living creature/level, no two of which may be more than 30 ft. apart
Duration: 1 min./level
Saving Throw: Will negates (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes (see text)
This spell instills powerful hope or causes great sadness in the subjects. Each affected creature gains either a +2 morale bonus or a –2 penalty on saving throws, attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls. All targets are affected the same way.

I found it majorly lame that Emotion and Symbol were split into smaller spells.

Fortunately, they haven't done the same treatment to Curse, Limited Wish, Wish and Miracle, the other spells with several possible choices.

Yes Gez, it's a shame. The cool thing with the Emotion spell was, that it covered many different moods, much like the different phases of the moon. It was a very flavorful domain spell. But it doesn't exist anymore and so something new must be found.

Rage might be a good idea, considering the linking between the moon and lycanthropy, which has some similarities as well.

And that's just too damn awful. The possibility that a spell could be useful for more than one thing! Shocking, just shocking.
