Elves vs. Orcs in the Forgotten Realms

Felon

First Post
OK, calling all FR sages.

So, elves and orcs are ancient enemies and I have a player in my Forgotten Realm's campaign who wants to take advantage of that angle with his new elf character. I need to find an elven territory where orcs have been at war with elves. It seems like every elven region I've read about seems to have dealt with any orc infestations they may have ever had (i.e. the High Forest, Evereska). Is there an elf community that might fit the bill?

Silverymoon. The orcs of the north have not been dealt with. Or, if they have, they come back anyway a few years later. They breed fast.

And Silverymoon is primarily a human/elf city that has many elven allies in nearby Evereska & The High Forest so it would work.

not knowing the realms, I'll be of little help, but...

what stops you from setting your game in an earlier time period, where you can take advantage of the "elves vs. orcs" thing fully?

In a similar position to Wik. :D

You should also keep in mind that since it is your campaign, you can stick to or veer away from the FR Canon as much or as little as you like. Perhaps those regions aren't as safe as they thought, or the orcs have returned... indeed, they may never have been dealt with at all.

"What if" campaigns can be kind fun sometimes! :)
